English abstract
The study aimed to reveal the degree of application of quality standards in early education
institutions in the North Al Sharqiyah Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman. To achieve the
objectives of the study, the researcher used a descriptive approach. The study sample
consisted of (190) early education teachers, who were selected randomly. The study
instrument was a questionnaire consisted of (49) items distributed over ten criteria: (Positive
relationships, children and parents, curriculum and teaching, child progress, health and
safety, teachers and parents, community relations and the physical environment). The
findings of the study showed that the degree of application of the degree of applying quality
standards in early education institutions in the North Al Sharqiyah Governorate in general
became high, and the average of some of the dimensions were very high (curriculum,
teaching, child progress, teachers, and parents) and others was high (Positive relationships,
health and safety, community relations, physical environment, and leadership). The study
also found that there were no statistically significant differences at the level of significance
(α ≤ 0.05) in the extent of application of quality standards in early education institutions in
North Sharqiyah, according to the variables of the study (academic qualification, years of
experience, and the program applied by the institution). In light of the results of the study, a
set of recommendations were presented, the most prominent of which is maintaining this
level of quality in performance.
