English abstract
The study aimed to identify the degree of application of electronic governance and its relationship to organizational effectiveness in public schools in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman. The current study implemented the correlative descriptive approach. A questionnaire was used to collect data and information, and it was applied to a randomly selected sample consisting of 392 male and female teachers.
The current study reached a number of results. The major results include: the degree of application of E-governance in public schools in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman were high in all dimensions. The current study also revealed that there are no statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α ≤ 0.05) attributed to the current study’s variables of: gender, educational qualification, and years of experience.
The study also found that the level of organizational effectiveness in public schools was high in all dimensions and the absence of statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α ≤ 0.05) that attributes to the variable of gender, educational qualification, and years of experience. The results of the current study also revealed a positive correlation and statistical function between the dimensions of E-governance and the dimensions of organizational effectiveness.
In light of the results, a set of recommendations were presented, some of which include: paying more attention to the application of e-governance in public school with regard to its positive relationship with organizational effectiveness, and working to raise awareness and spread the culture of e-governance, as well as the methods of its application among school managements and educational practitioners.
