The study sample included all (11) social studies textbooks from grades (5 to 10). The reliability of analysis was examined and it was (98%).
The results of the study showed that social studies textbooks included the dimensions of Preventive Education from the natural disasters. However, there were variances in the percentage of the inclusion, climate dimension had highest percentage of inclusion (%52.4), followed by geological dimension with an implication percentage of (%39.4), then Biological dimension with an implication percentage of % 4.41). Finally the cosmic dimension with an implication percentage of % 3.74). The results also revealed variance in inclusion degrees of these dimensions across the grades. The results showed that grade ten obtains the highest percentage of inclusion with % 52), then grade six with a % 28.53), while inclusion in grade five, eight and nine is convergent as following (% 5.64), (% 5. 53), (% 5.17). The results showed that the lowest percentage of inclusion was in grade seven (% 3.53).
This study recommended the need to include the dimensions of the from the natural disasters in social studies textbooks in an integrated manner in terms of concept, reasons, results and prevention methods.
