English abstract
The Persent study aimed to identify the actuality of the organizational learning and its accomplishment's obstacles in the basic and general education schools in the Sultanate of Oman. The study also aimed to determine if there were any statistically significant differences among respondents Toward the organizational learning and its accomplishment's obstacles according to the type of the system of education, years of administrational experience, and the educational level. The final aim was to suggest some operational procedures to activate the organizational learning in the basic and general education schools in the Sultanate of Oman.
To achieve the objectives of the study, the relevant educational literature was analyzed, and a questionnaire of (55) statements was designed. The reliability and validity of the questionnaire were also tested. The statements were grouped into five itemes representing the organizational learning. These were: the levels, the types, the processes, the factors, and the obstacles that prevent achieving the Organizational Learning The sample of the Study consisted of (101) school principals and (388) teachers, representing the Omani governmental general and basic schools. In order to answer the question of the study, the gathered data was statistically analyzed by applying the means, standard deviation, rank, T-test, one way ANOVA and Scheffe's test. The main finding of the field study were as follows: - Participants, rating of the degree of organizational learning levels was between hight and moderate, while the participants rating of the degree of organizational learning types and processes was between low and moderate. - According to the respondents point of view, the factor related to the leadership element appeared to be the most supporting ones to the organizational learning in the Omani governmental schools. These factors were directly followed by the organizational culture ones. On the other hand, all the obstacles of the organizational learning in the Omani governmental schools, had between the high and low rating. - The study found statically significant differences (at the level of a = 0.05) among the different variables of the study that include career, the type of educational system, and the administrative experience in the different themes of the organizational learning mentioned in this study. In the light of the literature analysis and the result of the field study , the present study provided a number of practical procedures to activate the Organizational Learning in the governmental education schools in the Sultanate of Oman.
