This study aims to identify the availability of educational technologies in basic school and how far they are applied in teaching. Moreover, this study focus on the challenges of using educational technology on (5-10) basic school in Aadkiliyag region. I finally provided some suggestions.
The questioner was applied on 150 teachers and supervisors from different area in aldakiliah region. The research sum up with some results included that some of the educational technology are not available at all in some of the region's schools like paperboard and magnetic board. On the other hand, some technology are mostly available in most school such as computers, cd players, internet, television, photographic machines and smart board.
As the research, shoes there are some difficulties in providing these technologies for all schools. Some of these challenges are: this software are very expensive, sometimes there are not suitable software to be presented on computers, and there are no coherence between the number of technology machines and the number of teachers (mostly the number of teachers is bigger). Moreover, most of the time the internet is not available for teachers through the day in schools. Another point is that the headmasters often are not ware to fix and repair the broken machines periodically. In addition, most schools do not have learning center with appropriate machines.
According to the previous difficulties, this study come up with some recommendations. Firstly, all sort of educational technology must provide in all schools. In addition, annual meeting with teachers must held to discuss the difficulties of using educational technology. One of the recommendations is that each school can specifies a class with all sorts of technologies and to train teachers to use them. In addition, all schools must funded to fix and repair all machines and to replace the old one and private sectors must funded school. To add appoint, the teachers who are using these technology should be promotes financially, and encourage them to apply model lessons in basic schools. Moreover, the private sector should be involved in the contribution of providing educational technology and encourage universities to take part by implementing lectures to educate teachers about the importance of technology and encourage them to use it.
