English abstract
This study aimed to reveal the extent to which the specialized courses in the program of preparing Islamic education teachers in the College of Education at Sultan Qaboos University relate to the subjects of Islamic education books in the second cycle of basic education for grades (5-10) And to reveal the extent to which these courses contribute to the development of the scientific side of teachers from the point of view of graduates. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher adopted the descriptive approach, using an analysis card based on the title and subject as a unit of analysis, and the fields of Islamic education as categories for analysis. she also used a questionnaire consisting of (25) items distributed over (6) areas: the field of the Quran and its sciences, the field of Hadith and its sciences, the field of Islamic faith, the field of Islamic jurisprudence, the field of the Prophet's biography and the field of Islamic systems. The sample of the study consisted of compulsory specialized courses in the program of preparation of the teacher of Islamic education (25) and Islamic books of education for grades (5-10), (6) books, and each book consists of two parts. The sample of the study was also composed of (54) teachers of Islamic education graduates of the College of Education at the University. The results showed that the percentage of correlation between specialized courses in the subjects of Islamic education books reached (38.45%), and these courses have contributed to a medium degree in the development of the scientific side of teachers from the point of view of graduates.
In light of these results, the researcher recommended reconsidering the specialized courses in the program of preparing the teacher of Islamic education at the College of Education at Sultan Qaboos University and working on dealing with the topics contained in the textbooks more.
