English abstract
This study aims to: the identification of the indications of education advancement in Wilayat AL Buraimi,the proceeding of the educated towards it, and the degree of their interest, to know the factors of their value to them, and to know the ideas of a number of the leading figures in the Wilayat about the education, and its value. Also, to know the problems facing the education in their openions.
The theory was applied on: a sample of the student of classes eleven and twelve in AL Buraimi schools, at the rate of (50%)of the total number in schools of high density of students, and (100%) in schools where the density does not exceed (30) students, and on a sample of (8) of the distinguished personalities of social impact in the Wilayat.
According to study: the students highly value the education. They thought of it as an economical, social and personal value. The outcome of the interviews resulted in a high degree of consciousness of the importance of education, and there is awarness of the difficulties and challenges it is facing.
There is agreement on the importance of the necessity of the development of education in the Sultanate to accompany the resent changes the Omani Society is witnessing, and the location of Wilayat AL Buraimi is one of of the main reasons of such changes in many aspects of life- the economical, the social, and the cultural, which showed high value of education.
From the analysis that effect the value of education, the study proposed suggestions that might consolidate the factors the effect of which was positive and to discuss the effects which where negative. Furthermore, to develope the education to agree withe changes the Omani Society is witnessing in all its social, economical and cultural fields.
