English abstract
The study aimed to identify the Degree of acquiring jurisprudence concepts in Islamic education text books, by the 10th graders of basic education. 2nd cycle. The study sample consisted of (300) male and female students in AL-Dhahira region. To achieve the aims of the study the researcher analysed the content of cycle 2 books to find out the jurisprudence concepts. To ensure the reliability of the analysis another analyst analyzed samples of books. The copra method of equation was used to find out the degree of agreement. The degree of agreement was 84%. Moreover, the researcher designed an achievement test, consisted of 45 multiple choice question to measure the degree of the acquisition of jurisprudence concepts among grade 10 basic education students. The validity of the test was ensured by a group of arbitrators . Regarding reliability, the test was ensured by applying the test to other students whom were not included in the sample of the study. The study resulted in some important points which were: 1- While, Jurisprudence concepts got the higher proportion among other aspects of the study which was 75%, personal status concepts got 5% which was the lowest among other aspects.. 2-The degree of students' acquisition for jurisprudence concepts was low. The proportion of the acquisition was 59% which was a little bit lower than required. 3-There were significant statistical differences at the level (a = 0.05) in the degree of the of the jurisprudence concepts between males and females in favour of females. In the light of the results of the study, the researcher recommended the followings1: There is a need to create balance when dealing with every single concept, so that a concept would not be taught in a particular grade and ignored in another grade. 2-The curriculum developers should enrich the curriculum so that the teacher is able to deal with these concepts intensively. Besides, it is necessary to increase the number of Islamic lessons.3 Providing the learning resources centers in the school with the appropriate teaching materials to facilitate and enhance the teaching process
