English abstract
The study aims to explore the possibility of establishment of a Distance Training Centre for Teachers in the Sultanate of Oman belonging to the Ministry of Education and exploring the statistical difference a the level oflá =0,05) between the average of the answers received from individuals regarding construction of Distance Training Centre for teachers in the Sultanate depending on the changes of the study(gender, designation and years of experience). Also the study aims to submit an assumption for proposal to construct a Distance Training Centre for Teachers in the Sultanate of Oman based on the experience of some countries. The sample consists of 361 individuals consisting of senior teachers and training experts working in the Sultanate.
A questionnaire containing 81 queries were related to seven sections, i.e., the justification for the construction of Distance Training Centre for Teachers in the Sultanate of Oman, the objective of the Distance Training Centre to be realized within the Ministry of Education, the requirements of the construction of the Distance Training Centre, standards of the designs of the training subjects, proposed methods for training, methods of evaluation, and challenges facing the construction of Distance Training Centre for the Ministry of education.
We have used the mathematical average and standard deviations and test(T) for independent sample and test(P) for two independent samples to verify the indications of the statistical differences. Also we used the percentage to set up the answers of the open questions.
The most important results found in this study is that the answers of the individuals of the samples confirmed the possibility for the construction of the Distance Training Centre for Teachers. In general, the results were positive.
Regarding the changes of the study, the results confirmed the presence of differences having statistical indication at the level of(á =0.05) between the answers of the males and females in favour of females for the first five sections of the questionnaire. Also the results found out the differences having statistical indication at the level of á =0.05) between senior teachers and the training experts. Regarding the changes of years of experience, there were no differences having statistical indications. The researcher interpreted the results of the study within the theoretical framework and previous studies and concluded to proposed assumptions to use Systems approach for the construction of Distance Training Centre for Teachers in the Sultanate of Oman belonging to the Ministry of Education.
