English abstract
The current study aimed at measuring the effectiveness of the integrated method in achieving the goals of teaching Reading and Texts for the students of grade one at the Secondary Level. That is through answering the following questions: 1-What are the objectives of teaching Reading and Texts-class one Secondary?
2-What are the operative: steps of the Inegrated Method to be followed in teaching - Reading and. Texts in class one Secondary?
3-What is the efficiency of using the Integrated Method to meet the objectives of teaching Reading and Texts in grade one Secondary?
To puzzle-out the answer for question one,the researcher has prepared a list of the class one Secondary using the integrated -objectives of teaching Reading and Texts Method- after being exposed to a group of Specialists- has reached thirty. In answering the second question the researcher has explained the operative steps of the Integrated Method, she has divided the paragraphs into tow levels according to the relevance of each step (relevant- irrelevant)-its reliability has been verified by
the number of the explanation paragraphs reached -exposion to a group of judges twenty-four, In analysis to the data obtained the reseacher used arithmetical averages and standard deviations for each paragraph of the explanation. To answer question three The researcher prepared a number of lessons from the Reading Book and the texts assigned to class one secondary , In preparation and excution. Of these lessons , rhe operative steps of the Integrated Method had been consirdered and were prepared in the light of the aims of teaching Reading and Texts in class oné Secondary as previously explained .After the researcher chosed the individuals of the sample at randomly from class one Secondary Southern Mabeila Secondary School ,and split into tow groups :Experimental and Adjustant. The researcher applied the Lessons prepared through Integrated Method to the Experimental group, whereas one of the competent and experienced Arabic Language teachers chosen by the principal and the advisor taught the adjustant group through the usual method. After application for three months, a comparison was made between the performance of the tow groups:the Experimental and the Adjustant.
The study showed a group of results.the most important are:
1- the Integerated Method has operative steps that can be followed in teaching Arabic in general ,or Reading and Texts in particular.
2-there are general aims of the Integrated Method that lessons can be planned and taught in the Light of.
3- the Experimental grup showed a realised development in achievement as a reusit of studying through the Integrated Method which emphasises its effectivenss.
