English abstract
The recent study aimed at identifying the administrative problems facing the schools and centers of special needs in the Sultanate. The range of the differences for these problems differs according to the qualification, type of qualification, experiences and training courses of the respondents. The study also aimed at introducing suggested measures to reduce the effects of the problem. To achieve the objectives, the researcher set a questionnaire of 35 items after checking its validity and the reliability of the questionnaire. The sample study included 294 persons (33 male and female administrators and 261 male and female teachers.) According to the results major problems confront these schools and centers in the areas of planning, organization, supervision, guidance, evaluation and financing came in different levels, high/ average. A high number of respondents mentioned finance problems, while the other areas were each mentioned by about half the number. In the light of this study, the researcher made a number of proposals, the most important of which is to find means of joint cooperation between the bodies supervising the rehabilitation of schools and centers of children with special needs in order to support these institutions in different fields.
