English abstract
This study aimed to assess of the course "The World around Me "which assigned to students in Grade twelve in from viewpoints of social studies teachers in the lights of some criteria. In addition to knowledge of the impact of gender and teaching experience and the degree of interest in global issues variables.
To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher used the descriptive approach, where the researcher prepared a questionnaire consisting of (61) distributed (6 words) axes, are: the consistency of objectives with the content, the degree of achievement of scientific material to the specifications of a good book, activities, calendar, the degree of achievement of artistic output standards book , fit the illustrations with the content, After confirming the veracity of the tool and stability have been applied to a sample consisting study of 113 male and female teachers of teachers in the world material from around schools of education beyond primary the following governorates: Muscat and Batinah North and South Batinah, Interior, and Buraimi.
The study results showed that teachers calendar to book the world around me came estimates significantly and medium, and the results showed that, and no statistically significant differences at the level of significance (= 0.05) due to the variable type, except in the first axis in favor of females.
