English abstract
The aim of this study is to investigate the availability degree of the supportive practices for ethical leadership with male and female principals in pre basic education in Oman as defined by the Educational Leadership Constituent Council ELCC and through the perspectives of the sample of the study. Moreover, the study aims at finding out whether there is statistically significant differences among the sample in their evaluation to the degree of these practices attributed to class variables.
To achieve the aims of the study, designed four questionnaires covered (500) persons of educational supervisors, teachers, students and their parents in South of Batina governate. Each questionnaire contains six-dimensions represented the supportive practices for the ethical leadership which are: (truthfulness, integrity, transparency, justice, confidence, respecting diversity, respecting values of democracy).
The study has found outstanding results as: - The availability degree of the supportive practices for ethical leadership
with male and female principals of pre basic education in Oman as defined by the Educational Leadership Constituent Council ELCC was very high from the perspective of the supervisors and teachers, but it was moderate from the perspective of students and their parents. There are statistically significant differences at (a=0.05) in the availability of supportive practices for ethical leadership between teachers and supervisors and their parents in favor to teachers in dimension two "transparency", dimension three "justice", dimension four "confidence", dimension five "respecting diversity", and dimension six "respecting values of democracy", and in the instrument as all.
In the light of these results the study come up with a set of suggestive procedures to develop the supportive practices based on the dimensions of the study.
