English abstract
This study aimed to identify the intellectual principles of ethical leadership, as one of the modern leading trends, in school management. The disclosure of the current realities of the practice of school leadership to the principals at basic education schools grades (5-10), in the Sultanate of Oman in the light of these principles. To achieve these objectives, the researcher analyzed the theoretical literature related to the topic of the study, and designed a questionnaire of (60) items that represent the components of Ethical leadership, which are divided into four axes: purpose, knowledge, authority, and trust. Distributed among (447) individuals from all governorates and regions of the Sultanate of Oman.
The statistical data it was distributed were done by using the Statistical Package for the Sociological Sciences (SPSS), using arithmetic averages and standard deviations were done for the responses of the study samples to all the questions and the four questionnaire axes.T-test was also used, and one way Anova. Scheffe Test was used for the dimensional comparisons,
The field study reach highlighted that the reality of the application of ethical leadership to the principals of basic education Schools Grades (5-10), in the Sultanate of Oman was high. As the axis of the practices associated with knowledge at the top of practices. Followed by practices associated with the axis of authority. The third place in the practices associated with the axis of confidence, and this was the lowest of those practices associated with the axis of the purpose.
- A study concerning the impact of study variables reached, There are statistically significant differences between the average estimates of the study sample individuals due to the educational region, gender, job title, and years of experience. While there were no statistically significant differences due to the variable of qualification.
- In the light of the literature analysis, and the results of field study, the researcher proposed procedures for the application of ethical leadership at basic education schools, grades (5-10). The researcher also, presented a set of recommendations, and proposed other relevant studies of ethical leadership.
