English abstract
This study aimed at activating the role of school administration in the development of social responsibility among students of post-primary education in the Sultanate of Oman. Descriptive approach was used by applying a questionnaire. The questionnaire consists of (71) statements and its was distributed in tow axes. The first theme is about the reality of the role of school administration in the development of social responsibility among post-basic education student. It includes four areas (responsibility towards the self. responsibility towards the family responsibility towards colleagues. responsibility towards the society), whiles the second axis was about suggestions for activating the role of school administration in development of social responsibility for students. After verifying the validity of the tool and its stability, it was applied to a randomly selected sample consisting of (157 teachers. 17 specialists and 44 parents). Data was analyzed through the Statistical Package of Social Sciences (SPSS). The study showed the following results. The sample of the study estimated that the reality of the role of school role in the development of social responsibility among the student in high degree in the four fields. The study also showed that there are no statistically significant differences due the gender variable. There are significant differences due the job title for the specialist. The study reached a number of suggestions for activating the role of school administration in developing social responsibility among students and some related studies were suggested
