English abstract
The present study aims to identify the role of the school administration in activating the educational media in Muscat Governorate in Oman and to reveal the statistical differences in the response of the study sample, which depends on gender, job, qualification, and years of experience and school category. The study uses the descriptive approach, in which questionnaire is used to collect data and information and applied to a sample of (221) school principals, their assistants and school activities specialists.
The study has reached a number of results, the most important of which is that the role of the school administration in activating the educational media in Muscat Governorate came between the high and the middle grades. The results have also revealed that there are no significant differences due to gender, job, qualification, and years of experience and school category.
The study has reached a number of recommendations, the most important of which are need to implement qualifying and training programs and educational seminars for school administrations on the educational media throughout the school yeas the need for school media teams to make field visits to the various media institutions the need for the school administrations to follow up and guide the activities supervisors to highlight the role of the media, and need to include the need to include topics on the media in the curriculum. The study has also recommended conducting a number of studies, the most important of which are the preparation of a plan for the implementation of media training programs for school administrations throughout the academic year and activating the partnership between media institutions and educational institutions to activate the educational media in Muscat Governorate.
