The objective of the current study was to investigate map understanding skills in which textbook and examinations contained
The proplem of the study was represented by two questions :
1. To what extent the textbook of geography contained map understanding skills? 2. To what extent the examinations of geography contained map understanding skills?
Content Analysis procedure was used to find out map understanding skills involved in both the text book and exams. The study revealed variations in the textbook of both two semesters and exams.
Finally, some suggestions and future field studies are recommended.
