English abstract
The study aims at exploring the effect of Fikh unit based on activity on grade to students of the academic year 2003/2004 achievement. It also aims to answer the following questions.
1) What is the proposed profile for an activity based Fikh unit in teaching Islamic education for grade 10 students in general education ?
2) What are the effectiveness of a Fikh unit based on activity taught to grade 10 students perfarmarice?
3) What is the effect of Fikh unit based on activity taught to grade 10 students according to Bloom's Taxonomy (remembering, understanding, application, analysis , synthesis and evaluation )?
The researcher has used the simi-experimental approach in this study.
The sample of the study was chosen from grade 10 students in AL-Billa Secondary Femal School. 191 students were chosen and divided into two groups : experimental group who was taught according to activity approach it consisted of 94 students. The group was the control group that consisted of 97 students taught according to the normal way. To measure the effectiveness of the unit of the study, the researcher has applied an achievement test administered to the two groups. There were a pre-test and post-test. The pre-test showed no significant differences between the two groups in the mans of scores. According to the results of the post-test , significant differences were found at (0.01 ) level between the means of the scores of the two groups in the favour of the experimental group. Post-test results also showed a significant differences at (0.01) level between the means of the scores of both groups at the level of understanding , application, analysis and synthesis in the favour of experimental group. No significant differences were found at level (0.05) between the means of scores of both groups at the levels of remembering and evaluation according to the achievement test.
In the light of the study results, a number of recommendation were suggested such as designing Islamic studies book units in secondary level according to activities to raise achievement level.
