English abstract
The study aims to show the learners' point of view on the importance of homeworks in improving the writing skills for Arabic language learners for non-Arabic speakers. The samle population of the study included a number of (55) male and female of non-Arabic language learners who were studying at Sultan Qaboos College for teaching Arabic to non-Arabic speakers in Manah, Noor Majan Institute in Muscat and Ibri, and the Arabic Language Center for non-Arabic speakers at Sohar University in the academic year (2018-2019).
In order to achieve the aims of the study, the researcher reviewed the educational literature and references related to teaching Arabic to non-Arabic speakers. He used the descriptive analytical method ,as a methodology for his study, and questionnaire, as an in-strument that has been modified and examined against its reliablilty and validity toward achieving the statistical methods in order to process and analyze the results demonstrates the importance of homework in improving the writing skills of non-Arabic speakers who are studying Arabic language.
There were no statistically significant differences in the responses of the research sample in relation to the importance of homework in improving the writing skills of non-Arabic speakers in terms of gender and age. However, there were statistically significant differences in the learner's level (for the sake of the advanced level), as well as years of the learning experience (for the sake of more than four years).
Based on the findings of the study, the researcher provided a number of recom-mendations as follows:
• Design a divided booklets , each part contains one of the writing skills: dictation skills, punctuation, expression skills and calligraphy skills, Which are by the student at home with the help of his parents as home works.
