English abstract
This study aims to examine the contribution of educational research in developing the educational administration in the Sultanate of Oman from the point of view of the study sample. The study focuses on five domains of educational administration namely: educational policies, curriculum, evaluation, supervision, and school management. The study also discusses them were practitioners (school principals) and the other fifty were educational research from the Ministry of Education, Sultan Qaboos University, Rustaq College of Applied Sciences, and Sur College of Applied Sciences.
The results of the study show that the contribution of educational research in developing the educational administration in the Sultanate of Oman from the obstacles facing implementing the results of educational research in developing educational administration in the Sultanate of Oman.
To achieve the goals of this study, a questionnaire consisting of the study domains was administered among the sample. The study sample included (103) participants.
Fifty three of the points of view of the study sample were high in all the five domains. In regard to the differences among the study variables, the results show that there is no statistically significant differences at (a=0.05) among the means of the sample responses to the study domains attributed to the variables of career and educational qualification. However, there were statistically significant differences at (a=0.05) among the means of the sample responses to the study domains attributed to the variable of work experience in the domain of supervision in favor of those have a longer work experience. The results also indicate a significant presence of the obstacles facing implementing the results of educational research in developing educational administration in the Sultanate of Oman. Therefore, the study concludes with some recommendations to develop implementing the results of educational research in developing educational administration in the Sultanate of Oman.
