English abstract
This study aims to know the different patterns of aggressive behavior which students at the first stage of basic education have specifically and commonly show in the sport classes. Also, it aims to show the different strategies that can be applied and used to confront and overcome such behaviors. Moreover, it aims to investigate the relationship between aggressive behavior patterns (physical, non-physical, verbal) as well as to detect and show the patterns of aggressive behavior among the students of the first circle, depending on the variable of the Geographical district. To achieve the objectives of this study, the researcher uses the descriptive approach, so the questionnaire has been applied as a studying tool. This tool (questionnaire) consists of four dimensions which are: Physical aggressive behavior, verbal aggressive behavior, non physical aggressive behavior and strategies that are applied and used to face and confront such behaviors. The questionnaires have been distributed to (132) Sport teachers who are in first circle of basic education schools in different places of the educational districts in the Sultanate.
This study has ended up with the following results: -
First, the physical aggressive behavior is the most presented dimensions within students in the sport classes. Secondly, it comes the verbal aggressive behavior. Thirdly, it comes the non-physical aggressive behavior. Based on the results, the study shows that there is a strong positive relationship between the three dimensions (physical, verbal, non-physical). It also shows the absence of the statically differences in the patterns of the aggressive behavior among the students of the first circle of basic education based on the variable of educational districts. Additionally, the study shows that the negotiation strategy between teachers and their students is the most effective and used by the sport teachers to stop and reduce the recurrence of such behavior. Moreover, the anger management and control strategy is the least used and effective to face the different patterns of the aggressive behavior. Based on the results of this study, a group of recommendations and suggestions are stated and written for further future studies.
