English abstract
The purpose of this study was to evaluate Specialization Domain in Geography Teachers Preparation Program at the Colleges of Education in the Sultanate of Oman , to determine the Strengths and the Weaknesses Perceived by Graduates .
Data Were collected by questionnaire consisting of (65) items, it included three domains. The aims of Specialized subjects (24) items, and the aims of Supporting subjects (18) ) items, and Getting use of Specialized subjects , distributed to (172) male and female geography teachers graduated from the Educational Colleges during the three years (1999 - 2001).
The study results include :
- The Graduates' ratings were moderate in three domains of training program "The aims of Specialized subjects, the aims of supporting subjects , Getting use of Specialized subjects. - There were no statistical significant differences at (a = 0.05) between rating of graduates to experience in each of the three domains "The aims of Specialized subjects, the aims of supporting subjects, Getting use of Specialized subjects.
- There were no statistically significant differences at (a = 0.05) between rating of graduates related to gender (male, female) in each of the three domains "The aims of Specialized subjects, the aims of supporting subjects , Getting use of Specialized subjects.
