English abstract
This study aimed at determining the educational standards and technical standards that should be taken into account when producing or selecting multimedia in teaching Arabic to non-Arabic speakers. It also revealed the extent to which these Standards are considered in the multimedia used by teachers in the institutions of teaching Arabic to non-native speakers in Oman. Descriptive and content analysis.
The researcher prepared a list of Standards derived from the literature and previous studies, and was verified by the arbitrators. A content analysis card was prepared using the criteria for analysis. It consisted of 80 criteria divided into two parts. The educational standards are divided into five axes: content Scientific, objectives, content presentation, educational activities, calendaring and promotion. The second technical standards are distributed on two axes, namely: display screen and display features. The number of media included in the study sample was 45 medically selected, 14 of which were PowerPoint and 31 were video.
The results showed that the availability of educational and technical standards in multimedia, whether in the general average or in the average availability of multimedia of the type of visual (video) or presentations (PowerPoint) came to a medium degree. The results revealed that there were no significant differences at the level of (α ≤ 0.05(between the availability of educational standards and the availability of technical standards for the production of multimedia in teaching Arabic to non-Arabic speakers. There are no statistically significant differences at the level of )α ≤ 0.05( in the availability of educational and technical standards for the production of multimedia in the teaching of the Arabic language to other speakers attributed to the type of medium: the video viewer, and presentations (PowerPoint).
In light of the results of the study, the study recommended working on the production of multimedia for the teaching of Arabic language to non-native speakers, and taking advantage of the educational and technical standards that emerged in this study in the production of multimedia dedicated to teaching Arabic to non-Arabic speakers. It also recommended training teachers in the field of teaching Arabic to non-Arabic speakers Media production processes are visual (video) for easy handling.
