English abstract
The study aimed to identify the level of Burnout among the Omani teachers in Al-Dhahira governorate, and to know the relationship between the methods of solving problems and psychological burnout of teachers, as well as the relationship between the type of education, gender, qualifications and years of experience and the level of burnout of teachers. In order to achieve the objectives of the study the researcher analyzed the educational literature. Then two scales were selected: 1. The scale of psychological burnout done by Al-Harrasi (2005). 2. The scale of problem solving techniques done by Al-washly (1996).
The sample of the study consisted of (48) male teachers and (137) female teachers from (5) female schools and (4) male schools. They were chosen randomly in cooperation with the Directorate general of education in Al Dhahira governorate. In order to answer the study questions, the researcher used arithmetic means and standard deviations. He also used Cronbach's alpha to ensure the reliability of the tools and multiple regression test, independent sample test and One Way ANOVA (One way analysis of variance ) test to examine the study hypotheses. The study results were:
First: The overall level of Burnout among teachers in Al-Dhahira Governorate is average or medium.
Second: The level of using problem solving methods among the Omani teachers in Al-Dhahira Governorate is medium. The use of the methods took the following order: 1. Confrontation and challenge 2. Requesting social and religious support. 3. Thinking with aspirations 4. Reduction to the minimum 5. Self-blame
