English abstract
The study aimed to determine the degree of effectiveness of the learning resource centers in the governmental schools of basic education in the province of Shamal Sharkia of the Sultanate of Oman. To achieve this a questionnaire was
conducted about of effectiveness learning resource centers which confirmed sincerity and persistence. The study case consisted of all basic education schools
The study aimed to determine the degree of effectiveness of the learning resource centers in the governmental schools of basic education in the province
of Shamal Sharkia of the Sultanate of Oman. To achieve this a questionnaire was
conducted about of effectiveness learning resource centers which confirmed sincerity and persistence. The study case consisted of all basic education schools
in Shamal Sharkia. The study was conducted by a number of (361) persons
consisting of (296) first teacher, and (65) Specialist of (LRC). The study has been applied during the first semester of the academic year (2013/2014) and a
study case of (246) making 68.14 % of the whole study population, was
randomly selected.
To answer the questions of the study, arithmetic averages, standard
deviations and t-test statistical have been extracted. After data analysis, it was
concluded that:
The degree of effectiveness of the LRC in basic education schools for the axes of the tool axes, as well as in the total were largely very effective. In fact, axes
of operations has received higher arithmetic averages then came the axis of the output and then the axis of the input which leads us to say that in general there is a great degree of effectiveness of the learning resources centers.
- The presence of statistically significant differences at the level of a ≤ 0.05)) in the effectiveness of learning resource centers in basic education schools in the province of Shamal Sharkia for the variable type in all the variables studied in
favor of females.

The presence of statistically significant differences at the level of(a≤ 0.05) in the effectiveness of learning resource centers for the variable of job title in all
axes. For instance, concerning the axis of the input differences were in favor of the first teacher while the direction of the differences in the pivotal processes and outputs were for the benefit of specialist of the (LRC).
The study found several results, among which the current area of learning
resource centers is inadequate then a new building adequate for learning resource
centers and fits the numbers of students and teachers at the school should be
designed. Also centers should be supplied with a set of references, magazines
and electronic books that serve the needs of teachers and students, and provide
the appropriate material for the learning resource centers to be able to motivate
students and teachers to participate in activities and competitions and events it
offers. Moreover, it is concluded that it is important to provide the research needs
for teachers who continue their higher studies through the subscription of the
Ministry in some international websites that provide services for researchers and educators, and hold agreements of cooperation between the Learning Resources Center and Local Universities which provide the scientific research utilities. in Shamal Sharkia.
