English abstract
The study aimed to find out the degree of applying the strategic planning in the educational and training institutions in the Sultan of Oman armed forces, to identify the differences among the sample of the study in the application of strategic planning in the educational and training institutions in the Sultan of Oman armed forces. For the purposes of the study, the researcher has designed a questionnaire consisted of (44) items questionnaire which was distributed among the entire study of population consisting of (143) members. The study concluded with the following findings:
1. The extent of the application of strategic planning in the educational and training institutions in the Sultan of Oman armed forces was average in the degree of (3.20).
2. There was statistically significant difference at (0.05>a) in the extent of the application
of strategic planning in the Sultan of Oman armed forces due to different variables (unit - academic qualification).
3. No any statistically significant difference at (0.05>a) in the in the extent of the
application of strategic planning in the Sultan of Oman armed forces due to different variables (experience - occupation).
Based on the aims and findings of the study, it recommended the following recommendations:
1. Adoption of unified or independent strategies (educational – training) in the military technological collages as well as in the Royal military academies in the Sultan of Oman armed forces preparing to obtain the academic, institutional, and program accreditation.
