The sample was taken from the second years and above in the Sultan Qaboos University students. The research relied on the descriptive relevant method in data collection and analysis.
The study's specimen included 210 students from Sultan Qaboos University. Two questionnaires were used to get the results through the following methods;
1- Evaluating the level of students' parents intervention in their future career decision.
2- Evaluating the level of the student satisfactions on their field choice. The results revealed a moderate intervention of parents on the students choices, however, the level of the students satisfaction about these choices is high in general. In addition, the results revealed that there are no differences attributed to the factor of gender type in relation to satisfaction about the career decision, specialization and study fields. This means that the satisfaction of the career decision is not affected by the difference of the gender. However, there are differences in the satisfaction of the colleagues between males and females in favor of males. Moreover, the study found that the level of satisfaction of the career choice is not affected by parent's economic and educational status. Finally, the study showed that there are differences of the level of satisfaction amongst the students based on their field and the students of the College of Science marked the highest level.
