English abstract
This study aimed to identify the degree of inclusion the school plan for the general
objectives of educational philosophy in North- Batinah governorate in the Sultanate of Oman from the views of school principals. Also to identify the degree of the inclusion differences from the views of administrative supervisors and head teachers with respects to their gender, vocation and qualification. The researcher used the triangulation method approach, which is combined between the Case Study method by using interviews as a tool to collect the qualitative data and the descriptive method survey by using a questionnaire as a study tool for collecting quantitative
data.
For the qualitative part, the sample included (7) of the school principals; while for the quantitative part the sample was consisted of (21)administrative supervisors and (202) head teachers in North Al-Batinah District in the Sultanate of Oman. To achieve the objectives of the study the researcher constructed a three interview questions and a questionnaire of(23) items which divided into four domains represented the general goals of educational philosophy in Sultanate of Oman. The instrument was subjected to the validity and reliability tests. Also, the second tool was measured by using Cronbach's Alpha which varies between (0.92-0.79).
The study results showed that the school principals don't use or invest the document of
the educational philosophy and goals in Oman as one of the sources when they put or develop their school plans because the document wasn't distributed in the educational field. Also, the study found that the degree of including the school plan for the study domains was high. Additionally, there were differences that are statistically significant on the level (a<0.05) between the average scores of gender in favor of females. There were differences that are statistically significant on the level (a<0.05) between the average scores of qualification in favor of the diploma qualified. Accordingly, the researcher has drawn a number of recommendations and further related studies.
