English abstract
This research paper aimed to identify the degree of organizational commitment, the level of job satisfaction of expatriate employees in the educational and training institutions related to the Civil Sector in Oman and the relationship between the two factors from the perspective of these employees. Therefore, two questionnaires have been prepared for this purpose. The first one was for the organizational commitment containing (31) statements divided in four parts which are; effectiveness, behavioral, continual and normative. The second one was for measuring job satisfaction containing (34) statements divided in four
parts; incentives, job assessment, job nature and job security. Reliability was measured to be (Alpha=0.910) and the questionnaires were distributed to (255) Expats from diploma and PHD holders in Al Dakyliah and Al Dhahirah Governorates. The research samples were from three targets. Teachers who work in the government schools represented the Ministry of Education, while technical colleges represented the Ministry of Manpower. The Colleges of Applied
Sciences were also representing the Ministry of Higher Education. These institutions were the study samples and all the 255 questionnaires were distributed. The degree of the organizational commitment with expatriate
employees in the training and educational institutions of the Civil Sector in Oman
was high.
The degree of job satisfaction with expatriate employees in the training and
educational institutions of the Civil Sector in Oman was moderate.
The Study recommended the following:
Assigning Expats with jobs requiring high efforts that contribute to the
development of the institution they work in.
