English abstract
This study investigates the efficiency of school committees in doing their required tasks. Also, to reveal the barriers that these committees face in AlDakhiliya governorate schools in Sultanate of Oman. Another aim is to find the differences of opinions in the survey's data which are based in following variables (gender, job title, scientific qualification, experience). In order to achieve these aims, the study used the descriptive methods and a questionnaire for the collection of information and data. This study was applied into (110) principals and assistant manager. The study found many results, the most important is that the efficiency of school committees in doing their require tasks in AlDakhliya governorate schools in Sultanate of Oman from the point of view of the principals and their assistance was very high, having lots of administrative problems as well as the problems related to the committee members and the local society. Also, there were no differences at the level of function (a < 0.05) to the estimations of the study members are based in following variables (gender, job title, scientific qualification, experience).
The study recommended a number of recommendations including: form a specialized committee to supervise and asses their school committees and their practicing for missions to ensure that they carry out their mission properly and avoid facade. It gives the members of the school committee the authority to perform their missions efficiently, arrange training courses for school committees to enhance their knowledge in politics and school systems as well as develop their skills and abilities in financial management. Engaging educational supervisor and managers in making school committees and consider their consultations.
