English abstract
We study analytical solutions of certain nonlinear evolution equations using G' /G-expansion method and tanh-coth method. The Gf/G-expansion method has been used to obtain exact analytical solutions of the generalized shallow water wave equations, the Whitham-Broer-Kaup equation and one and two space dimensional fifth order PDEs. Soliton solutions, kink solutions and singular solutions have been obtained. The tanh-oth method has been employed to derive solutions of KDV equation, mKDV equation, generalized KJV equation, potential KDV equation and the Gardner equation. Soliton solutions in terms of sech function, kink solutions in terms of tanh function, singular solutions in terms of coth or csch functions and periodic solutions in terms of trigonometric functions have been derived for all equations under consideration.
