The current study aims to identify the level of emotional intelligence and the level of work stress, and to know the extent of the relationship between them among the teachers of the first cycle in the schools of Nizwa state in the Sultanate of Oman. The use of the descriptive correlative approach, and to answer the study questions, the work stress scale prepared by Al-Maamaria (2014), and the emotional intelligence scale: prepared by Othman and Abdel Samie (2001) was used. The study concluded that the level of emotional intelligence among the teachers of the first cycle in the schools of Nizwa state was high, while the level of work stress among the teachers of the first cycle in the schools of the state of Nizwa was medium, and there was a statistically significant inverse relationship between emotional intelligence and work stress among the teachers of the first cycle, and the results of the study showed There are no statistically significant differences in emotional intelligence due to the variable years of experience, and the absence of statistically significant differences in work stress due to the variables of specialization and years of experience, and the study concluded that there is a statistically significant effect of the variable that emotional intelligence contributes to reducing work stress among teachers of the first cycle in schools Nizwa Province.
