The transport and communications sector receives great attention from countries as it is an important service sector in every country and highlights its progress and development, so it strives to develop it and enrich it with innovations that facilitate the movement of transport . However, the problem arises as to who bears responsibility for the damages resulting from the use of autonomous vehicles? Who bears the contractual responsibility for breaching a contractual obligation concluded with regard to these vehicles? Who bears compensation for the damages it causes? Who bears the consequences of traffic accidents resulting from them? Who is responsible for the death of one of them because of it? And all this because there are many parties attracting the relationship, so is the driver who is a passenger in the first place, or is the manufacturer, or is the importing company, or others? Or are there insurance companies that will bear the condition of regular vehicles? Did the legislation - including Omani legislation - address this problem? All of this calls for research and investigation, and because, in the near future, it will become the dominant vehicle in the streets, according to what the specialists have reached and for its unique advantages and characteristics that facilitate transportation. Based on this problematic, the study aims to reach a clear and explicit legal answer about who bears the responsibility resulting from autonomous vehicles in Omani law.
