This study aimed to investigate the level of difficulties encountered by Social Workers in the schools of the Al-Batinah North Governorate, Oman based on their views and that of school principals. The study followed the descriptive analytical approach using social survey methodology. To achieve the research aims, the researcher used a questionnaire of (40) paragraphs covering five themes, followed by testing and piloting reliability and validity of the instrument, it was then applied to the target sample of (72) individuals, out of which (38) social workers, and (38) schools principals from the total study population (337). The results of the study showed that there are significant and moderate difficulties facing social workers, based on their views and that of school principals. The study also revealed that there were no statistically significant differences at a significance level of (0.05) to their compatibility with the difficulties facing social workers, and this was attributed to the variables of the study. Given these findings, the researcher proposed a set of recommendations and suggestions, including forming a team of specialized experts to conduct further study of these difficulties and find appropriate solutions to them and developing specialized training courses, designed to meet the needs of the social workers and aimed to improve their competencies and skills with a focus on the practical side of the training is needed, also, educating and raising both students` and teachers` awareness on the importance of collaborating with school social workers on applying the prescribed treatment methods recommended by their school social workers.
