This article explores the emotional and psychological challenges physicians face when dealing with death and dying patients in medical practice. It highlights how unresolved negative emotions can lead to maladaptive behaviors and suboptimal care. The article suggests strategies to help physicians cope, including normalizing conversations about death, promoting emotional self-regulation, and developing support systems such as psychological interventions. Ultimately, it emphasizes the importance of addressing death-related anxiety to improve patient care and physician well-being.
