This case study aims to explore a teacher's use of WhatsApp with grade nine students in an Omani School. Nowadays, students are involved in technology in most of their daily life activities, starting with playing games and ending with learning and communicating with others. The study aims to investigate the use of WhatsApp and its influence on teaching and learning English in grade nine in the Omani school. A narrative inquiry was conducted to understand how a teacher implemented blended learning in her English course using the WhatsApp social network to address her students' lack of involvement with homework and lesson preparation issues. To fulfill the aim of the study, A narrative approach guided the data collection and analysis. This study involved an English language teacher who used WhatsApp messenger application in teaching English in an Omani school. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with the teacher to collect the data. Narrative analysis was used to analyze the data. The findings showed advantages of using WhatsApp in teaching English, for example, learning collaboration and language improvement. On the other hand, disadvantages resulted from using WhatsApp, for instance, the validity of students' language.
