English abstract
The General Directorate of Criminal Investigations and Inquiries in the Royal Oman Police strives to obtain a high level of performance using all available human and material capabilities in performing their tasks of preventing the occurrence of crime and controlling what occurs through rescarch, investigation and inspection works, relying heavily on the morale of its employees and the extent of their mastery of the tasks entrusted to them and to ensure the continuity of their performance at the planned level must be taken to ensure the continuity of this activity. The use of the incentive system, by which the motivation of employees can be stimulated, is one of the methods that have the ability to positively influence the performance of employees and how to exploit their efficiency and effectiveness. The research problem lies in highlighting that incentives have a major role in changing the performance of employees of the General Directorate of Criminal Investigations and Inquiries, whether negatively or positively. The importance of the research is due to the importance of developing the incentive system provided to the employees to raise performance, while it aims to show the material and moral incentives provided to the employees and highlight their impact on improving performance. To reach the objectives of the study, the descriptive approach was used, and the research was divided into five chapters, including the introduction to the research, while the second chapter included the theoretical framework and previous studies, the third chapter include the method and methodology of the research and its procedures, the fourth chapter contain the results of the research, and the fifth chapter on the conclusion of the research and contained conclusion and recommendations. The researcher concluded through this research that there is a great consensus among the employees of the General Directorate of Criminal Investigations and Inquiries about the importance of the role that incentives play in the success of the department and its continuity in developing its performance. Through this research, the researcher also reached to several recommendations, including: General Directorate of Criminal Investigations and Inquiries should pay more effort and attention to support individuals and encourage them to develop their skills and improve their performance through incentives, and to form a committee to review the formulation of the incentive system in the General Department of Inquiries and Investigations The researcher believes that members of all departments in this committee should be involved and benefit from similar systems in the security and military agencies or civil authorities.
