The study aimed to identify the level of psychological burnout among the media professionals in the Sultanate of Oman Television, and to reveal its causes among them, and the factors influencing it. Psychological burnout is defined as a response to psychological stress, low performance at work, and it affects an individual's behavior towards others. In light of the lack of Arabic studies that dealt with psychological burnout in the media field, in television stations in particular, the research problem was shaped in revealing and measuring psychological burnout among the media professionals working in the Sultanate of Oman Television during the year 2022. This study is categorized within the framework of descriptive survey studies. It aimed to reveal the level of psychological burnout among employees of the Sultanate of Oman Television, and the factors that affect their psychological burnout. The study adopted the questionnaire as a main tool in answering the study's questions. According to the "Maslach" Burnout Scale; The questionnaire consists of three axes; demographic variables, measuring the level of burnout, and the factors affecting psychological burnout. For the study population, it was represented by the media professionals working in the Sultanate of Oman Television. The researcher used a non-random (collaborative) sample of media professionals working in television, which included all media professionals who responded to the invitation and participated in the questionnaire, as the sample size was (150) media workers working in the Sultanate of Oman Television. The study concluded that the rate of psychological burnout among media professionals working in the Sultanate of Oman Television was relatively medium, as this percentage is higher among females than males. The study concluded that there is an average burnout rate associated with the dimension of emotional stress and dullness of feelings, compared to the dimension of personal achievement, and the psychological burnout among females was more compared to males. In contrast, the study revealed that most of the employees of the Sultanate of Oman Television are highly satisfied with their performance and their achievements in the field of work. The study also concluded that there are significant statistical differences in the relationship between the level of psychological burnout and some demographic variables of the study sample, and between it and some variables related to the work environment (the media organization), as well as work pressures among some age groups more than others.
