This thesis analyzed the increased sphere of influence of China in the northwest of the Indian Ocean via China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). It explained the importance of this corridor in the Chinese economic plan as part of the Belt & Road Initiative (BRI) that was announced by the President of China, Xin Jinping, during his visit to Kazakhstan and Indonesian in 2013. The importance of this corridor is reflected in economic and military (maritime). In respect to the economic domain, the Chinese ability to ensure its footprint on the northwest of Indian Ocean as the second access by Gwadar Port will help to overcome the "Malacca dilemma" in addition to saving the time and costs of its worldwide imports. Hence, this will enhance the efficiency of economic development plans in the long term due to the ability to minimize the risk of any disruptions in the delivery of natural resources. This will become a vital factor as part of China's efforts to reshape the governance of the global economy. In respect to the military (maritime) domain, it should be noted that any rivalries in the region between the United States (US) and India will motivate the Chinese strategists to secure the sea lines of communication (SLOC) and minimize their dependent on other powers. This has clearly been revealed in the recent published Chinese military strategies. China is not the only power influencer in the region. The US, India, and Pakistan have different magnitudes of influence in economy, military, diplomacy, and culture. For instance, the US is the most powerful in the region in terms of culture, military, and diplomacy to India and Oman, but China has a strong impact on Pakistan in all of the four elements. China also holds power in determining the direction of Oman's economy. The importance of exploring each of the state's degree of authority lies in the future direction of China's role in the regional power order. Oman and China have an excellent relationship in the economic aspect. Since Oman is part of the BRI and has geographical proximity with Pakistan via CPEC, this will increase Chinese influence in the region. Therefore, Oman has to adopt a policy to equip itself with the new regional order led by China.
