The study aimed to identify the forms and manifestations of violence rampant in Sultanate of Oman's schools and it attempts to identify the reasons and motives behind the violent behavior. The study, also, seeks to identify the factors causing the emergence and intensification of this behavior, and proposes means of prevention and treatment to reduce this phenomenon. The study sample consisted of sixteen students, of whom ten were males and six females from different public schools in the Sultanate of Oman during the academic year 2012/2013. The sample has been collected from six provinces of Education Directorates namely: Muscat, Al-Dakhiliyah, Batinah North, Al Sharqiyah North and Al Wusta region. The data has been collected by observing the sample, headmaster, social worker and teachers. Also, personal interviews have been used which lasted for a minimum of nine hours. It provided data about the personal information, social background, educational environment in the school and classroom, as well as information about the relationship with the members of the school community. The interviews were conducted for the sample, headmaster, social worker, and the teachers in addition to the parents. The school records of absence and events have been reviewed as well.
