This study aimed to identify the effectiveness of a training program based on creative thinking skills on the skill of asking questions among Islamic education teachers in the North Al Batinah Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman. The study sample consisted of 13 male and female Islamic education teachers who teach the tenth grade of basic education in the year for the 2022-2023 academic year. A class observation card was applied to them to measure the extent to which they possessed the skills of asking classroom questions consisting of 35 items, before and after the training program, which was presented to them during the second semester. The validity of the study material and its instrument was confirmed by presenting it to a group of specialized judges. The stability of the study instrument reached 0.85 according to the Pearson correlation coefficient. The data was analyzed by extracting means, standard deviations, t-tests for independent and correlated samples, and one-way analysis of variance. The results of the study showed that there was a statistically significant difference between the pre- and post-measurements in favor of the post-measurement, which indicates the existence of an impact of the training program on Islamic education teachers’ possession of all the skills of asking classroom questions. However, the results also did not show any statistically significant differences attributed to the gender variable. Based on the results of the study, the researcher emphasized the need to train teachers on creative thinking skills and question-asking skills.
