The aim of this study is to identify the challenges facing remote school administrations in Oman and the procedures taken by these schools to meet these challenges, as well as the proposed alternatives suggested by the study sample to overcome these challenges, which the Ministry of Education can provide. The study sample consisted of (25) principals of schools classified as remote schools according to the classification of the Ministry of Education and the educational directorates in the governorates of Muscat, Dakheliyah, Dhofar and the Department of Education in Al Wusta governorate. The study adopted the descriptive approach by designing a semi structured interview protocol to collect data by directing four main questions to the respondents. These questions focused on Administrative challenges, challenges associated with teachers performance, challenges associated with students performance, and the challenges associated with parent-community relationships. Data were analyzed using qualitative technique by analyzing respondents' responses and monitoring frequency of responses. The study found that remote schools suffer from many challenges and difficulties, the most important of which are geographical isolation which causes interruption or weakness of the means of communication and Internet, shortage of services, difficulty of transportation, and employee instability, lack of professional experience. These schools follow a number of procedures to address these challenges, the most important of which is the application of rules and regulations in cases of frequent absence, the assignment of tasks and the involvement of the community as much as possible in the school activities . The respondents suggested a number of alternatives that the Ministry can provide to reduce the impact of these challenges, such as providing means of communication and Internet, increasing the incentives and rewards for the workers in these schools, providing transportation and housing, and continuing media awareness for residents in these areas of the importance of education.
